Lawrence Dunkley

Lawrence is the epitome of a mountain man, a great hunter, trapper, and fisherman. His love of the outdoors is rare and refreshing. Having hunted, trapped, and fished since childhood, Lawrence’s knowledge and skills are a great asset to Mountain Spirit Outfitters. You will never be bored around him as conversations are funny, enlightening, and knowledgeable. If your moose happens to die in a not so desirable location, do not despair as Lawrence is strong as a bull and most likely could pack an entire moose out all on his own! A great guide who will work hard to get you your game, always with your comfort in mind.

The Pack

Jakira, Annabelle, and Lily make up the new members of Mountain Spirit Outfitters! Jakira and Annabelle hail from South Africa and Lily from the Lone State of Texas. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are known for their incredible hunting prowess, loyalty, agility, stubbornness, independent thinking, and love of life. They are sight and scent dogs and are amazing on a track, be it wounded or not. They each have their own unique personality and a joy to be around, bringing much laughter.

Jakira rarely leaves Lawrence’s side and is completely dedicated to him. She is 6 years old, and you could swear she knows exactly what you are talking about, so beware! Jakira is spending the winter with Lawrence at Cameron Ridge Bungalows learning about martins, moose, and wolves.

Lily and Annabelle are mine. They are ten days apart and just had their first birthdays. It took a bit of understanding between them, but now are like sisters. Lily and Annabelle started their hunting career catching mice and squirrels at Cameron Ridge Bungalows, advancing to rabbits, javelina and the occasional mule deer while spending the winter in Arizona.
